About the client
“Russian School Spring” is a large-scale all-Russian festival that brings together school students from across the country and creates a space for creativity, communication and exchange of ideas. As part of the festival’s second season, a separate themed town for the Movement of the Firsts was created — “Factory of Ideas”, dedicated to engagement, introducing participants to the movement’s values and collecting ideas for future initiatives.
Objective
To develop the architecture and visual system of the Movement of the Firsts festival town “Factory of Ideas” as part of the II All-Russian festival “Russian School Spring”.
The goal was to create a space that would be not only visually appealing, but also functional in terms of audience engagement. It was important to unite different thematic pavilions into one coherent environment, design the stage area, navigation and graphic elements, and ensure that participants actively interacted with the site: taking part in a quest, learning about the movement’s areas, sharing ideas and voting for the best ones.
Main idea & metaphore
The project is based on the image of a factory — a space where ideas move from impulse to implementation. We conceived the town as a single mechanism in which each pavilion becomes part of a shared process and each participant becomes a co-author of future change.
Through architecture, visual accents and the organization of the visitor journey, we aimed to create an environment that not only informs, but also engages, connects people and helps them feel the importance of their own ideas.
Product line differentiation
We designed the architecture of all the pavilions in the festival town and developed their visual identity so that the entire area would read as one unified system. Each pavilion had its own theme and character, while remaining connected to the overall concept of the “Factory of Ideas”.
The town included the following pavilions:
“Birdhouses”, “Career Guidance”, “Culture & Creativity”, “Ecology”, “Media”, “Sport & Volunteering”, as well as the registration pavilion.
In addition, we designed the stage area and developed sticker graphics for spheres and other decorative elements. This helped strengthen the cohesion of the environment, make the participant journey clearer and ensure that the town felt visually complete and easy to navigate.
