Redrum is an alcoholic drink for connoisseurs of rum and good cinema.
The package design contains recognizable images of the favorite films “Psycho”, “Rosemary’s Baby” and “The Shining”. The dot effect allows you to achieve a sense of mystery and mysticism. A simple person passing next to the shelf will not be able to immediately understand what this package of rum is telling him. Only with the right distance to the drink will a person be able to recognize and understand what is happening on the label. The directors of cult films also used the technique of the right angle, and it was thanks to this “special look” that they became great. This brand concept is my tribute.
The name of the brand is the famous expression from the movie “The Shining” – “redroom”, combined with rum. The brand logo seems to scream, thereby drawing attention to itself. The red color is designed to enhance this impression and attract even more attention from others. The descriptive typography is inspired by movie credits and is intended to hint to the casual passer-by about its meaning and idea. White base improve the readability of the text so that the brand can be seen from afar.
The material used in the concept is glass and paper. They are chosen in order not to distract from the idea and content of the drink.
Such an alcoholic drink will be a great addition to the anniversary of the films, and will also be very popular with movie fans. I would also like to note that this brand can expand its product line with other films from various directors.
