Task
Our long-term client, Weigeng, approached us with the task of creating a modern and appealing packaging design for a new product — rice chips with egg yolk. The product is already popular on the Chinese market, and the goal was to highlight its uniqueness while giving the design a universal European style that would be easily perceived internationally. The main objective was to develop a visual language that emphasizes the product’s ingredients, attracts attention, and strengthens brand recognition.
Solution
Our team developed a bright and functional design that effectively communicates the product’s key message. The central visual concept is based on a shape resembling an exclamation mark, where the dot is represented by a halved egg. This graphic solution symbolizes the core ingredient — egg yolk — and instantly captures attention while clearly conveying the product’s essence.
The large, easy-to-read product name is complemented by appetizing images of the chips themselves, highlighting their crispy texture and stimulating the desire to try them. Each flavor features its own distinct background color, helping to effectively differentiate the products on the shelf and simplify the selection process for consumers.
To enhance both the visual appeal and the informational value of the packaging, we added small illustrations representing additional ingredients such as crab, seaweed, and pork.
This design approach allowed us to combine several key aspects in one cohesive solution: attractiveness, functionality, strong product recognition, and ease of perception across different cultural contexts.
