Figiko is an all-natural plant-based skincare and beauty brand, with a purpose. Focused on all natural products and high-end luxury ingredients. They speak to a luxury female target market with a love for quality. The core of the brand focuses on beauty with a purpose and they hold the brand philosophy of “We care about our planet. We care about you. That’s why our raw plant-based ingredients are 100% natural, organic, vegan and chemical- and cruelty-free.” Close to their heart. All packaging needed to be kind to nature and reduce unnecessary environmental impact.
Their Target Market: Target market is 25-60 year old females with interests in skincare, beautiful packaging and ethical beauty. They enjoy the premium things in life and are happy to pay a higher price for a luxury product. Although they may not be the cheapest products on the market, the target market is happy with this premium and believes in quality over quantity.
Design process: The design process went back to the roots (literally) of where the ingredients came from, and gave the product ingredients the full spotlight. Figiko aims to cut our harmful ingredients and put the natural plant and floral-based ingredients at the forefront – no funny business or unnecessary toxic ingredients.
Brief was to create a brand identity and packaging for Figiko – the product packaging and brand identity needed to show the ethos behind the brand, at first glance and also push the narrative of natural, earth-driven products with an ethical background. The target product that needed to be showcased were: ready to use formulas, cold pressed unrefined ingredients, essential oils, floral waters and soil based solutions.
Strategically, packaging choices were made to help add that premium feel – gold foiling on glass bottles, eco-packaging cardboard.
Deliverables – Full brand identity (logo, sub mark, guidelines), design brand strategy, photography – brand photography and photography concepts, packaging design and mock-ups: boxes, glass droppers.
