Readymag, the design tool for creating outstanding websites, celebrates its 10th anniversary by launching a report on design collaboration in the form of an interactive digital editorial.
Readymag’s report, “Unscrambling Design Collaboration,” provides an in-depth analysis of design collaboration practices, challenges, and solutions. To delve into the world of design collaboration, Readymag surveyed over 370 designers worldwide. The report was further enriched with insights from influential designers, including Korie Cull, Art Director at Apple; Giorgia Lupi, Partner at Pentagram; Chen Mizrach, Creative Director at Mindspace, and others.
This project eloquently showcases Readymag’s capabilities as a tool for creating impressive reports and presentations. Designed by Readymag’s designer Tatiana Egoshina, it features vibrant infographics, dynamic animations, and interactive draggable objects.
Gain Insights into Design Collaboration
The report highlights the importance of teamwork: collaborative projects tend to outperform individual efforts when it comes to achieving business objectives, with an impressive 74.4% of respondents favoring collaboration over solitary endeavors. Interestingly, collaboration is seen as both relieving and stressful by 61.5% of respondents, while 14.7% find it stressful. Peer feedback holds great importance for 38.2% of participants.
Interestingly, 25.9% of respondents participate in design communities, but only 9.7% use them for job searches, preferring social media. Regarding the work environment, 43% of collaborators prefer working from the comfort of their homes. However, only 23% believe that long-distance collaboration yields effective results.
Readymag Team: “We believe that collaboration, when carried out with care and fun, can significantly boost one’s creativity and lead to greater results. To celebrate its birthday, Readymag embarked on a journey to explore the role of collaboration in the design industry, resulting in a digital editorial report.”
Readymag offers the most powerful, versatile, and visually-pleasing tool for designing on the web. It’s ideal for dozens of formats—from landing pages to multimedia long-reads, presentations and portfolios—all made with a single tool. Besides the design system, it seeks to advance the culture and community of design itself. Creative freedom and mindful design are principles Readymag champions through everything they do.
