DepotWare is a “warehouse” based in Portugal where we find various types of products such as razors, shaving, mobile phone cases, etc. that somehow solve people’s problems. On the other hand, Depot wants to be more than a store, it wants to bring together a community where people feel safe when buying products at an affordable price.

Even having a mission to create something more, we had to find a way for Depot to have a competitive edge, due to the overload of the product sales industry. We create a unique style that gives voice to the brand, communicating directly with the target audience. The biggest source of inspiration was the streetwear style, creating a modern, rebellious and digital concept while keeping it simple. Basic shapes and simple typography were used, interacting with each other to graphically bring the desired concept.

The shapes can be ordered in different ways to tell different narratives of the purchasing process, the main sequence symbolizes “from our warehouse to everywhere”. Archivo is a grotesque sans-serif font family originally designed for highlights and titles, later adapted for a variety of styles. It was the only typography chosen for the project as it has all variable weights, brings consistency and uniformity to all materials that were developed for the brand. The orange color was chosen because it is an energetic color, which brings us a differential. Along with black and white, it leads to a more “aggressive” path that is reminiscent of the streetwear style.
