Doctor Online Consultations – Pulse – UI UX Case study

Pulse is a comprehensive medical mobile application created to simplify and modernize the way patients access healthcare services. The project was centered on designing an intuitive platform that connects patients with licensed healthcare professionals through secure online consultations. The aim was to design not just an app, but a dependable digital healthcare experience where trust, clarity, and usability come first.
The app allows patients to easily search for doctors across different specialties, book appointments, and choose between video, audio, or chat consultations based on their needs. A clean and minimal design system was adopted to ensure accessibility for users of all ages, including individuals who may not be tech-savvy. The patient flow was carefully mapped to be straightforward: onboarding, profile creation, browsing specialists, and initiating consultations can all be completed in just a few steps.
Key features include profile management, medical history tracking, secure upload of medical reports, and the ability to receive and store digital prescriptions. Notifications and reminders were incorporated to help patients stay on top of upcoming consultations or follow-up care. For doctors, the platform provides a dashboard that simplifies schedule management, patient records, and consultation notes, allowing them to focus more on care and less on administrative tasks.
From a design perspective, Pulse balances professionalism with warmth. The visual identity uses calm colors and clear typography to instill confidence while avoiding the intimidating feel often associated with medical platforms. Accessibility standards, including scalable text and clear iconography, were integrated to ensure inclusivity.
Ultimately, Pulse was designed as more than a telemedicine tool—it is a trusted healthcare companion that makes consultations convenient, safe, and reliable, empowering both patients and doctors in the growing digital health ecosystem.
