Frederiksberg Bryghus is a small restaurant and brewery located in the cellar of the old Frederiksberg town hall. They brew great tasting beer, but their visual identity were lacking the same originality and local feeling as they inhabit. Therefor we created a colorful illustration style. The design is based on local trademarks iconic to the Frederiksberg neighbourhood.

The illustrations are used as beer labels, graphic elements on posters, folders and other print materials decorating the restaurant. Examples of the Illustrations include the heron, Frederiksberg’s coat of arms, the elephant, iconic statues and various areas in Frederiksberg.

About Frederiksberg Bryghus: It is deep in our DNA that we live in Frederiksberg. We are part of the local community, and we see it as one of our most important tasks to help make Frederiksberg a great place to live. And here we are lucky: beer binds people together – good beer binds good people together. That is why we often enter into collaborations with local companies and cultural institutions, which make an extra effort for the citizens of Frederiksberg.

History: Frederiksberg Bryghus brews beer of the very highest quality based on good craftsmanship, knowledge and curiosity. We make beer that we like. Tasty, well-made, balanced beers that taste good, even after the first glass. We do not try to push the boundaries of what beer can taste like or experiment with exotic ingredients – there are many who are better at it than us. Instead, we focus on finding the optimal combination of the basic ingredients: malt, hops, yeast and water. Frederiksberg Bryghus is a member of Det Fri Øl, which fights for fair competition in the beer market and transparency for the consumer. The brewery was started by Claus Hastrup and Lasse Philipsen in 2014, and since 2016 all our beers have been brewed in Frederiksberg under Frederiksberg City Hall.
