Introducing Nazcal, the plant-powered elixir designed to elevate your mind, body and spirit.
With the name established and the initial test batch bottled, Nazcal; a 0% ABV functional spirits brand, made with a curated mix of nootropics and aptogens, needed a visual identity that would embody it’s unique mood enhancing effects.
We created a packaging range and visual identity which leans into the world of hallucinogenics and is inspired by the products weird and wonderful ingredients. Nazcal is made with a balanced blend of aptogens and nootropics, which have been proven to have amazing health benefits.
The bespoke letterforms in the brandmark resemble some of the natural ingredients that go into the drink, such as Lions Mane Mushrooms, Maca Root, and Yerba Santa Leaf.
Abstract animal prints tell the story of the drinks Peruvian origins, JJ Gorman the founder of Nazcal came up with the idea for the drink at an ayahuasca in Peru. Through this experience he spoke with Plant Mother, who set him on the path to sobriety. He’s now committed to helping others do the same and hopes the mood-enhancing effects and health benefits of Nazcal can be a genuine alternative to alcohol.
The animal prints pair with a vibey colour palette which portray each unique mood and flavour profile. The Puma nurtures your confidence and invigorates you with a sense of fearlessness and strength. The Mariposa (Butterfly) evokes a sense of social transformation, allowing you to connect with others. Buhu (Owl) finds calm in the dark and helps you relax into a mellow mood.
