Here in Uzbekistan people follow certain social and moral rules, and particularly, feel quite shy while buying contraceptives, condoms, and other stuff that is somehow connected with sex.

That is why, when we got a task to design packaging design for local condoms Lovit, we started our work with the search of local insights that could assist us in developing a visual identity that helps people to buy our product more harmlessly and less stressful.

Our research brought us to the fact that men feel quite a lot of discomfort while buying exact types of condom: from classic types to dotted ones or large sized variations. In order to solve this problem of our target audience we decided to make a series of characters that symbolize different types of condoms. As characters we chose animals, from cheetah and wolf, to alligator and a bear.

Each character is additionally stylized with men’s clothing, neon light of different colors, in order to make each packaging more recognizable on shelves.

The Logo of a product is based on bold typography that is inspired by international condom packaging trends, our lettering is quite big and noticeable, recognizable but at the same time pretty much original.

We believe that a customer oriented approach in design can help our audience feel much more comfortable while buying necessary contraceptive products, as they are a very important part of a social life for both young and mature men in any country of the world including our land, Uzbekistan too.
