Caribou Creative is a graphic design studio in the Comox Valley that wholeheartedly believes successful brands stem from great design. With a focus on branding, packaging, illustration, and web design for independent businesses passionate about sustainability and creating a more circular economy.

Since 2010, Creative Director Laura Prpich has developed strategic, award-winning designs and partnered with clients both large and small across various industries and sectors. She believes in helping businesses at every step of the way – from aligning inspiration, to creating business goals and objectives that turn brands into powerful story-telling experiences.

Her passion for sustainability in design has evolved throughout her career and forced her to think critically about her role and responsibility as a designer. Laura’s primary focus with any project is to guide clients through the necessary steps to help reduce their environmental impact without compromising the integrity of the design.

Loops Jewellery is inspired by the natural, rugged habitat of the Pacific Northwest. Owner Jill Bernakevitch works out of her home studio on Vancouver Island, surrounded by the ocean, forest, and mountains, and finds solace in designing and assembling every handcrafted piece of jewellery. Jill reached out to me for a re-brand as her business began to flourish and she knew she needed to polish up her assets and elevate her brand to reflect the quality she puts into her jewellery. Sustainability was at the forefront of this project, and we worked together with local printer Workhorse Press on some custom-designed packaging that includes ethically sourced stock, zero glue for ease of recycling, and minimal ink to reduce waste, all while creating a design that is effortless, chic and unique to Loops Jewellery.
