Blanco de Parcela, Fuente de las Hontanillas 2019. The very first and limited white wine of Aalto Winery. White wine aged in oak from verdejo grape vineyards on the Fuente de las Hontanillas plot (Quintanilla de Arriba – Valladolid).

We created an experience around the launch of the very first white wine produced by Aalto Winery. For this entry into the market we should impact the consumer while respecting the minimalist force so characteristic of the brand.

Given the exclusive nature of the product, we developed a packaging with a sensory impact that revolved around the concepts of soil and origin. To achieve it, we have played with the sense of touch, creating a volume texture pretending the surface of the vine. On top of that, the entire exterior is predominantly dark to increase the contrast with the interior, giving all the light and prominence to the colour of the wine, discovered once it is served. A straw yellow colour with green tones. Aromatic and citrus complexity with hints of spices. Fresh in the mouth, good acidity and body with a diversity of nuances. All together, a verdejo shaped by the altitude and limestone soil.

Information on the vintage
The agricultural year started with a mild autumn and very little rainfall. An extremely dry winter kicked off with lows of -9º C, with the region recording higher temperatures than normal. Spring and summer were dry, with rains in July and the end of August, preventing any stress to the vines. The plant cycle occurred with large temperature variations, alternating between hot periods and atypicaly low temperatures of 4º C for mid-June. The ripening of the grapes occurred under optimal conditions, with harvest in mid- September.
