Laast Modular Visual Identity

Laast is an all-in-one platform that simplifies management and boosts repairer productivity. The idea for this platform came from Lucas, who was confronted on a daily basis with the problem of managing numerous tools in order to be able to do his job. So he decided to simplify repairers’ tasks to make them more efficient.
With Laast, every task becomes simpler and every process more efficient. Imagine managing your customers, appointments, stock and online sales from a single interface. Laast doesn’t just lighten the load – it makes it smoother and more consistent.

So we had to create a highly original and, above all, highly modular identity in line with the repair profession. To achieve this, an original, bold typography was designed, with variations in upper and lower case. In addition, the sketchy look with irregular lines was retained to give a more natural, less flat effect to the final rendering.

The idea of keeping the pencil line has remained and become central to the rest of the design: in effect, it’s a nod to the numerous notes taken by the repairers.
All pictograms and illustrations were therefore to retain this idea of rough drawing. And rather than having a single logo with pictograms gravitating around it, the logo is enriched by 3 categories of illustrations (expressions, objects, decorations). All these elements will be added to the typography in a random fashion, making the logo dynamic, modular and playful. Once again, the aim is to make this identity alive and in constant motion. The Laast letters can be arranged in width, height, lines or diagonals. Finally, a range of 5 colours (the primary colours + a very dark gray and a beige) adds an extra dynamic touch. These colours are deliberately in RGB, as the project is digital. In the end, it’s a totally modular identity, which can evolve and be presented in different ways to suit every need.
