Problem Description: Resistance to taking medication(or Supplements) is a common trait among many children. The old methods of our mothers saying things like, “Let me see your teeth,” “Open your mouth! The plane is coming!” or “Say, ‘ahhh’”, are fun games for kids and make taking medicine easier. It’s not always successful, though. And combining medicine with other food is not recommended by doctors.
Solution: One of the best and most effective ways to entertain children is to tell stories using animals as characters. This can help mothers easily feed and give medicine to their children. The original idea behind the design of Pediabest was inspired by Lift-The-Flap books to create a sense of curiosity and familiarity in the child and make them interested in the contents. In addition to the structure of the packaging and the visual elements on it, it helps mothers tell a story and entertain their child by showing them the pictures.
A collection of animal characters that have distinctive features (like a bear known for sleeping in the winter or a giraffe known for its height), in accordance with the drug indication, is imaged in two frames. On the first frame of the packaging (closed box), the animal character eagerly awaits the drops or syrup with its mouth open. In the second frame (open box), we see the effect of this medicine on the animal. For example, with the appetite medicine, the crocodile becomes fatter after taking the drops. The bear falls asleep after taking sleep medication. Or the deer’s horns grow after taking the Vitamin D drops.
The packaging plays the role of a narrator in a storybook or animation to tell a fun story. This creates a sense of eagerness and curiosity in the child and entertains them while taking the medicine (supplements).
