Jenni Hoang Creates Student Concept for Aukume Insect Discovery Exhitbition

In modern times, people often look for big things, but sometimes the small things around us are no less interesting, such as insects. We are all born detectives and scientists. We are curious and we discover new things around us. Aukume birth is a great event for both children and those who enjoy fun things related to insects.

Aukume gives hands-on experiences in science, technology, and the arts to researchers and community members, and aids in people’s comprehension of insects.

The name Aukume in Maori means magnet, representing the spirit of curiosity and love to explore new things contrary to common thinking. This is a place where people come to learn about various interesting insect experiences.

The logo was inspired by the joints of insects. Incorporate the natural roughness of insects. The strokes are stretched like images of insects such as butterflies, dragonflies, and locusts. The logo condenses the idea of a festival for people who love to discover new things, love gifts from nature, and are like tiny friends.

Concept “Insect ruins signboard”: By studying the history of the appearance of insects like us, we can rediscover ancient cultures in ancient ruins. Signboards are like guides to assist visitors. Visitors have the ability to be curious and gain knowledge about the insect world in their own way. A page or poster can be a great guide.

Visualisation: The design was influenced by the ruins of ancient ruins as the main material. Creates the impression of being an explorer who concentrates on discovering the origin of everything. The lettering layout is arranged in blocks, inspired by engraved stone slabs.

The diverse shapes of stone slabs represent the diversity of habitats and the number of insect species. Each stone has a distinct insect culture. When viewing insects, viewers are required to focus and be curious due to their negative appearance.
