Ikuzai is a luxury and exotic cosmetic brand that celebrates the positive attributes of CBD, bringing to life an organic full-spectrum product line of CBD cosmetics. The identity is inspired by the Scythian Culture, also known as Iskuzai, and the role they played in the spread of Cannabis throughout the ancient world.

Our approach leaned forward with raw colors, daring typefaces’ combination, and luxurious materials and print finishes.

Visual Universe
To create the visual universe of Ikuzai we have used several elements based on a textile frame, not only as a decorative element but also as a dividing line and to mark texts or photographs.

In addition, we have used a Helvetica typeface in capital letters for the titles, combining at least one character of each word with the Base and Bloom typeface.

With this, we achieve a balanced visual universe, combining complex elements with simpler ones.

Typography
We have used a typographic combination, blending the simplicity and austerity of Helvetica with the tribal shapes of Base & Bloom.

Isotype
To create the isotype, we have based ourselves on Scythian art, which uses stylized and very physically shaped representations of animals.

Wordmark
The custom logo is a combination of two typefaces: Rosalin display (with a slight variation) and Base & Bloom.

Colors
The raw colors are inspired by the Siberian steppe, the place of origin of the Scythians. While the use of gold, only for the packaging, recalls the ornaments and decoration of Scythian art, as gold was one of the main materials.
