House of Energies:  Ecla Unveils Bold Rebrand with Lonsdale

UXCO Group has entrusted Lonsdale with the rebranding of Ecla, its coliving residence brand catering to students and young professionals.

Since its inception in 2018 with the opening of the largest residence in Europe (1,300 residents, over 85 nationalities, and 3,000 square meters of shared spaces), Ecla has established itself as a leader in the coliving world. To stay ahead in an increasingly competitive and rapidly expanding coliving market, Ecla enlisted Lonsdale to structure its brand and embody it through a unique experience, supporting its ambitious growth plans in France and Europe.

The agency worked to reaffirm Ecla’s position as a leading player and its forward-thinking vision of coliving, placing diversity and cultural inclusion at the core of the brand, around a central concept: “House of Energies.” Ecla presents itself as a hybrid living space that harnesses positive energies from around the world, contributing to the personal growth and success of each individual’s journey.

These energies, their richness, and their complementarity guided Lonsdale’s creative approach. The agency proposed a rich and vibrant brand expression that adapts to different spaces, moments, and the daily lives of each resident. The graphic design reflects this idea of modularity, dynamism, and fluidity of the Ecla experience, promising a tailor-made experience. The vibrant color palette accommodates all energies, from a relaxed beige to an enthusiastic orange. The tone of voice is warm, inclusive, and dynamic, welcoming everyone with kindness into a community that thrives on its diversity.

As the first point of contact with the brand, Ecla’s social media platforms and website have also been redesigned by Lonsdale to offer a modern, personalized, and playful user experience, simplifying the booking process and lead generation. The agency also worked on the key markers of the residence and the signage within the spaces to bring Ecla’s uniqueness to life.
