Exhibit Branding & Identity System | The Sanctuary | at The India Story 2017
The Sanctuary – A space for Time, Ideas, and Novel Aesthetics – Showcasing artists from Fashion, Art, Installation, Furniture and Print, at The India Story 2017. The exhibit aimed to close the distance between art and life. It encouraged the audience to immerse in the space, and experience design through interaction. The space design was a fusion of colonial architecture and amoebic forms, creating a spectacle which encourages one to learn more, even if it’s through amazement.
HeyHo Co was tasked with connecting these thoughts into a visual identity system which had to be immersive, strange, interactive, but
All creative minds, undergo a development process which involves sketching, redoing, scratching, adding, deleting, cutting and slicing, which ultimately gives their final product the desired energy and impact. HeyHo Co took inspiration from this creative process of editing and redoing, to come up with an identity which sliced the type into parts, to echo the same sentiment. The sliced type was coupled with the use of gradients to support the fluidity of the physical space design. This dynamism was woven into the identity system which helped the viewer interact with the final collaterals – including print, digital and onsite mediums.
