Gramadense is a Brazilian chocolate manufacturer (Rio Grande do Sul). With over three decades of experience, it is always adding new products and flavors in its catalogue. For its line of truffles and single liqueur bonbons, Headmade developed the flowpack packaging project for a total of thirteen flavors.

The concept is based on the cocoa fruit, a key ingredient in chocolate making. Its fruits, seeds, leaves and flowers were simplified and turned into a geometric pattern that served as the foundation for the visual identity. The bold color palette was set up to accentuate flavors, interact with a broader audience, and boost product awareness at retail. Each flavor has its own color, worked in halftone in the pattern, and combined in the upper part of the arts with the tone referring to the type of chocolate used – milk, white or dark 70%.

For each truffle, an illustration of the product was developed, accompanied by the ingredient corresponding to the flavor. For the bonbons, the apparent filling was illustrated, which reinforces the appetite appeal. Exclusive letterings were also developed for the two products – with a friendly, clean and modern typography, with finishes that refer to the shape of truffles and chocolates.

Finally, the seal of quality and origin of the product, as well as the study for sources of support, the formatting and the visual unit of the packaging family promote a modernization in the company’s visual language, expanding the reach in its market niche.
