Ginori 1735 Heritage Boxes, Merging Heritage with Modernity in Luxurious Porcelain Packaging

Ginori 1735 Heritage Boxes, Merging Heritage with Modernity in Luxurious Porcelain Packaging

Client:
Ginori 1735 has graced the global stage for nearly three centuries, standing as a beacon of excellence in the luxury and lifestyle sector. It is the embodiment of Italian artistry in the realm of pure porcelain and high-quality design. Throughout its storied history, Ginori has enjoyed a rich tapestry of associations with luminaries in the worlds of fashion, art, design, architecture, cinema, and interior decor. This brand is an icon of sophistication, an ambassador of Italian excellence in every porcelain creation.

The Manufactory’s product line is the confluence of tradition and innovation, a testament to the art of weaving the past with the future. It encompasses collections that span tableware, artistic and lifestyle objects, exquisite gifts, meticulously crafted flatware, glistening crystalware, and luxurious fabric items. Each piece is a manifestation of a deep-seated passion for the essence of Italian culture, the vibrant colors that paint Italy’s landscapes, the artistry that has flowed through the country’s history, and the warm hospitality that Italy is renowned for.

Assignment:
Our assignment was to breathe new life into Ginori’s global packaging for both physical stores and its online shop, all while aligning it with the brand’s evolving identity—where heritage marries modernity. The challenge was formidable: we needed to find a visual narrative capable of encapsulating the very essence of Ginori, and at the same time, provide a versatile solution suitable for a wide array of packaging formats.

Solution:
To realize this vision, we embarked on an expedition into Ginori’s illustrious historical archives. There, we unearthed a treasure trove of logos that had been meticulously crafted for the brand’s various collections since the 1700s. Selecting the most iconic of these emblems, we embarked on a transformative journey, reimagining them with a fresh, bold, and thoroughly contemporary aesthetic. These redesigned logos were thoughtfully debossed onto the lids and embellished with the opulence of golden foil.

To further solidify and enhance the brand’s visual identity, we entered into a strategic partnership with Fedrigoni, known for its exquisite paper craftsmanship. Together, we crafted a unique Ginori blue pulp paper. This bespoke paper not only added an extra layer of luxury to the packaging but also provided a tactile and visual distinction that pays homage to the brand’s illustrious history while embracing a bright future.
