The Halter Ranch is a vineyard and winery that is committed creating superior wine while using sustainable methods of winemaking and farming, that are not harmful to the environment.

Even if you are not aware, you might have seen their Ranch already. In the 1990’s movie „Arachnophobia” was filmed there and featured their beautiful Victorian Farmhouse.

Besides creating the finest wine their goal is to preserve Ranch’s history and look for the future of the property. 82% of the total property is dedicated to preserving wildlife habitats and oak woodlands.

Recently they asked us to create design concept of their limited Collector’s Series Wine. It was a special one, named after proprietor Hansjörg Wyss’ grandson, „Thor’s Mountain Cabernet 2018”. Since growing up near the Swiss Alps, the Wyss family shares a generational love for snow-skiing, our idea was to directly reflect that passion in design of this unique and personal wine.

We went on with an ambitious concept to create one peace, long label in a shape of the Thor’s skis, wrapped around the bottle. We balanced the rest with the minimalistic approach, but with lots of sophisticated details, thick and beautiful tactile cotton paper, gold hot stamping, blind debossing. To give it even more wintery feel, we’ve finished it off with generous dip of snowy – white wax seal. As the result we created highly expressive and unique label that evokes passion, personality and swisss origins of the Wyss family.
