Real Diffusion, a company specialised in the trade of branded spirits, has decided to embark on the adventure of producing and selling rum with its brand Flavors Island.
A newcomer to the highly competitive world of Rum-based spirits, Flavors Island brings to the market a range of three juices, all of which feature various combinations of fruit, citrus, cocoa and caramel.
The range comes from the Dom Tom and more precisely from a small imaginary archipelago close to the island of Reunion.
In order to promote this launch, Real Diffusion entrusted Studio Boam with the creation of the entire graphic identity and art direction for all product and communication materials.
First, the studio conceived and designed the logo to measure. Consisting of wide and high lettering, solids and voids enclose the archipelago’s totem animal, a chameleon, in its centre. The gold and curved finishes add relief to the logo.
In order to enrich this very structured logo, we sketched in opposition a large illustrative fresco with vaporous colours, mixing the imaginary fauna and flora of this fictional country.
Entirely executed by hand, in the manner of the great religious compositions, this illustration has been conceived in the form of a triptych. Each part would be specific to each bottle where the main flavours that compose them would be integrated and highlighted within each of the decorations.
This logic of decorative sub-sets ensures a great coherence of the whole but also an infinite possibility to complete the history, the plans and the flavours. Thus, we can add as many new references to the range as desired.
