Empowering Creative Change-Makers: GLI Arts Innovation MBA Branding by Podpunkt Studio

The Global Leaders Institute (GLI) offers an Executive MBA specifically tailored for individuals in the arts. With the GLI Arts Innovation MBA, creative leaders can gain an enhanced toolkit to drive accelerated career growth and sustainable impact.
Each year, a select global Cohort of 60 cultural change-makers is invited to participate in the MBA in Arts Innovation – an empowering career journey for creative sector leaders focused on social entrepreneurship, cultural management, sustainable impact, and community development.
With modules co-curated by nine top university institutes at Harvard, Georgetown, Stanford, Duke, University of Chicago, and more, the GLI’s innovative 12-month MBA journey is guided by a world-class faculty that includes Nobel laureates, Grammy winners, Polar Prize awardees, TED presenters, and an institutional network of dynamic field partners spanning 40+ nations.

GLI is a digital communication brand. Crucial aspects include social media activity, remote communication with participants from various parts of the world, and an informative website. That’s on one hand. On the other hand, the theme and target audience involve references to art. We aim to craft a simple yet sophisticated brand identity that goes beyond typical minimalist digital project designs.

The logo and brand identity are inspired by the gestures of the conductor, who sets the pace for the orchestra. The design captures the distinctive shape that reflects the movements of the baton and incorporates references to movement and global connection, aligning seamlessly with GLI’s core values.

The logo is a simple symbol and is part of a dynamic illustration that is included in all layouts. Sometimes we focus on the details of an illustration by zooming in, GLI helps us to understand different perspectives and see many possibilities. Other times, we zoom out to perceive what we can achieve when we take a broad perspective of our actions.
The conductor’s baton, with its movement, has also become an inspiration for motion design. The sophisticated yet expressive motion is one of the elements of visual identity.
