This Moment is a brand of small-batch, hand-poured, naturally-scented soy candles and natural home fragrance products. It was created as a way to help everyone enjoy the little moments of joy—those little pockets in time that we can create for ourselves every day, where nothing else matter, just the here and now. This brand identity and packaging design project revolved around creating an elegant and minimalistic visual direction reflecting the deep state of relaxation that the brand helps to achieve. An important element of the project was also to portray the clean, natural ingredients that the brand uses to create its products, such as sage, lavender, or oak wood, as well as the sustainable, eco-friendly processes that it’s focused on.
The brand’s clean, high-quality approach is reflected in the minimalistic, yet approachable brand identity design. A chic, geometric font is combined with delicate hand-written accents to provide a warm, personable look and feel, while the elegant, classic alignment with lots of white space lets the design breathe. The colour palette chosen for each of the products is inspired by the main ingredient that it’s based on and it’s kept in quite a deep, dark shade in order to reflect the feelings of calm, stability and groundedness.
Additionally, each candle scent was paired with a set of custom botanical watercolour illustrations placed elegantly around the box, depicting the main natural ingredient. These delicate, natural designs help to reflect the organic qualities of the scents in a simple, yet sophisticated way, allowing to focus only on the most important aspects of the product. It’s the best reflection of the brand’s motto: “Let go of stress, thoughts about the past, or visions of the future. There is only here and now, only this moment.”.
