The Open Education Policy Forum is an annual event organized by Centrum Cyfrowe (Digital Center), a non-governmental organization based in Poland. The purpose of the forum is to bring together policymakers, educators, and other stakeholders to discuss and promote open education policies and practices.
The forum typically features a range of presentations, workshops, and panel discussions on topics related to open education, including open educational resources (OER), open-access publishing, and open data. Participants also have the opportunity to network and collaborate with other individuals and organizations working in the field of open education.
The Open Education Policy Forum is part of Centrum Cyfrowe’s broader mission to promote open access to information and knowledge in Poland and beyond. The organization has been active in advocating for policies that support open education, such as the adoption of Creative Commons licenses and the development of national OER repositories.
Our role here was to create a visual identity for the entire event and later for the 2022 edition. We had to design a system that can be easily adaptable to different themes because each year the event is focused on a different topic. This year’s Open Education Policy Forum has revolved around the results of a new pan-European study by Centrum Cyfrowe. It was focused on the usage of GLAM educational digital resources, interactive materials, and online digitized collections by teachers and educators. All elements used in this project need to be free and available to everyone.
