Broos Reimagines Danspunt with a Dynamic Identity Inspired by Movement and Connection

Danspunt supports and inspires dance enthusiasts and professionals across Belgium. I created their new visual identity to capture the true essence of dance: movement, connection, and expression. This rebranding marks a pivotal moment, translating the organization’s rich heritage into a contemporary, high-energy framework.

The name Danspunt received a renewed meaning with the addition of a dot and comma: Dans, Punt. This subtle typographic intervention highlights its role as the definitive home and the primary starting point for all things dance. It is not just a name; it is a statement of presence.

The identity revolves around six flexible logo variations used across different media. These logos are designed to feel “always in motion,” mimicking the fluid nature of a performance. The connected letterforms reflect the vital connection between dancers themselves, as well as the bond between the community and Danspunt, effectively visualizing the broad, inclusive network that unites them.

The flowing lines additionally express the many energies of dance—sometimes soft and organic, sometimes sharp and angular. This linework forms a simple, adaptable visual language that extends naturally into signage, iconography, and various digital applications. A bright, powerful color palette reinforces this bold identity, ensuring the brand remains vibrant and recognizable in any context.

Alongside digital and print designs, the identity was applied to a comprehensive new façade signage system. Using flags, banners, and a full-window graphic, the building now actively invites visitors inside. This tactile experience continues throughout the interior with a cohesive wayfinding system for the studios, restrooms, and foyer, making the physical space feel just as rhythmic as the brand itself.
