Cocoa cultivation in Vietnam is increasingly developing and achieving high quality. The main cacao growing regions include the Central Highlands (Đắk Lắk, Đắk Nông, Lâm Đồng), the Mekong Delta (Tiền Giang, Bến Tre, Vĩnh Long), the Southeast (Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu, Đồng Nai). The Central Highlands, with its cool climate and fertile red basalt soil; the Mekong Delta with its tropical climate and fertile alluvial soil; the Southeast with its tropical monsoon climate and red basalt soil; and the Central region, despite its harsher climate, benefits from improved technical measures to grow cocoa well. These climatic and soil factors help cacao plants in Vietnam thrive, producing high-quality cocoa products for both domestic and export markets.
