Picnon is an architectural rendering firm that has worked for renowned architects worldwide, especially in Mexico. Its mission is to create digital environments that take you to any reality you can imagine.
The ideas behind this identity are dreams, materializing impossible things, and a world where everything is possible, where everything is up to us to interpret those dreams to build and create them. In fact, it has a lot of this feeling of science fiction films that take place in space.
In this project, we worked on the naming and brand identity. We were inspired by the word picture for the name and added an ending that made us feel that we were talking about something that belongs to another world or even in another world, like saying Jupiter, Picnon could be another planet, but it can also feel like the name of a being from another place.
For the brand identity, we worked on the 3D animation of the logo, which has these rings that feel like they are moving in impossible directions. Although the visual origin of the logo is a mix of two portals that are opening and letting you see the inner world between them and the representation of an imaginary planet with two rings.
The biggest challenge was to strike a balance between a minimalist, evocative and strong brand identity and Picnon’s renderings, which at the end of the day is what should stand out since they are their portfolio and tool to attract more people. Another challenge was to give it an identity that connects with the type of clients they like to work with, which are creative and open to proposals that improve the project in all its stages, including the project visualization.
