Brand Identity Design for Kaebup by Reef+Co

This project by Reef+Co – a branding agency with studios in Athens and Nicosia – involved the visual identity design for KAEBUP an abbreviation for: ‘Knowledge Alliance for Evidence Based Practice, an Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliances project. The project aims to create an international educational and training method offering participants the opportunity to engage with professional environments, learning how research can be the basis for innovative professional practices, and what businesses in the field of planning, architecture and urban design require from academia. The identity concept was inspired by the main objective of this Erasmus+ project, which is to bring research closer to practice. The Erasmus+ project objective was developed by the design team into a creative concept and formed the basis and foundation for the creation of the visual identity. The project concept developed, taking the form of an abstract bridge in the design of the logotype, as well as an independent, simplified, ‘bridge’ symbol that appears alongside images and typographic information. The slogan ‘Building a bridge from research to practice’ summarizes the purpose and accompanies various communications and applications such as posters, brochures, leaflets, a video animation, a website and various social media post visuals. Design and Creative direction by George Souglides and Constantinos Stavrou at Reef+Co. This project was completed in July 2021 and was financed by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
