The restaurant began its work with the name “AJ – Gosto Caseiro”, focusing mainly on delivery, but over time it chose to direct its focus to building a comfortable and familiar environment, where they could serve their customers; With that in mind, the new name and new identity were designed to convey the brand’s proximity to its audience and its authenticity at all points of contact.
The brand wants to convey its friendly, close and accessible essence in an authentic way; to communicate these things, an initial shape was created that bears a slight resemblance to a heart, a symbol of feelings such as passion and love. In addition, the shape is also inspired by a coriander leaf – a spice that is very present in its kitchen – to represent the very well-seasoned and tasty food that the company offers. Made with round shapes, the symbol brings out the feelings that the company wants to convey to its audience.
The final form is made up of four replicas of the initial form. The number of replicas was chosen to allude to the origins of the company, which belongs to a family made up of four members, where everyone had and still has a fundamental role in building and organizing the company as it is today… including its creation of the new name.
Some illustrations of coriander leaves and a pattern inspired by the brand’s symbol were developed to expand a little more the possibilities of applications in the brand’s visual universe.
