B12 Creative Branding Redefines Cielo Olive Oil with Premium Packaging Design

The rebranding of Cielo Olive Oil, created for Savola Food Group, was undertaken with a clear strategic objective: to enhance the brand’s perceived value and align it with the contemporary visual language increasingly adopted in the premium olive oil category.

The previous packaging carried a high visual density that limited shelf visibility and reduced brand recognition. Therefore, our design strategy focused on simplifying the visual architecture and creating a more confident, stronger language. By reducing unnecessary graphic elements and establishing a clearer hierarchy, the brand name became more easily readable and recognizable in a highly competitive retail environment.

At the heart of the identity lies the redesigned Cielo logo. Created with an elegant serif character and a subtle olive leaf reference, the logo connects the brand with both nature and the culinary world. This typographic approach reinforces authenticity while positioning Cielo closer to the gastronomic culture surrounding olive oil.

The use of materials and simplicity became fundamental design principles. Decorative illustrations utilize textured surfaces, natural tones, and carefully balanced typography to convey quality and craftsmanship. The color palette is kept in calm and natural tones to express the purity and reliability of the product.

The resulting design reflects the direction of many modern European olive oil brands, where minimalism, originality, and gastronomic reliability play a central role. With this rebranding, Cielo is moving towards a more international design language while preserving its natural character.

As a result, the new packaging not only enhances shelf visibility but also increases the perceived quality of the brand, allowing Cielo to present a clearer and more confident position in the olive oil category.
