A concept branding identity for Art Basel. The work is inspired from the current events of ‘covid-19’ and the resulting isolation which is affecting people worldwide. The art direction was inspired by the ‘coronavirus’ yet the bold colours were used to reflect upon the positivity and resilience that has been seen by people around the globe. In this time of uncertainty, I wanted to showcase a fun yet relevant art style for the brand whilst ensuring that the posters would stand out. I had to ensure that the typography was displayed in a way in which the audience could read it easily, whilst keeping the main design as the focus. Keeping the typography digestible yet clear, I decided to design two posters for the public. One poster being data led with more information, and the other being straight to the point to engage the audience. My hope that the art will inspire conversation and allow individuals to reach out and connect with one another.
