Ambra Spirits – Citrus Gin

Ambra Spirits – Citrus Gin

Ambra Spirits is a small, South Australian drinks company with a growing Australian footprint and following. Since Cornershop repositioned their brand in 2017, Ambra have evolved to include a range of citrus gins in their product portfolio. True to their brand ethos, Ambra’s small batch gins have been inspired by the company’s Italian heritage and handcrafted with the finest locally grown citrus fruits. The initial launch includes a Citrus, Blood Orange and Navel Strength gin. The latter is a 61% alc/vol legacy gin that was inspired by the owners Italian grandfathers who forged a life in Australia from their desire for a better life.

The packaging design builds on Ambra’s brand story and is positioned to stand apart from local and national gin competitors. Ambra’s liqueur packaging, with Limoncello at the heart of the range, is positioned to engage the spritzer market and features bold stripes inspired by beach symbols from Amalfi (Italy) and South Australia. Cornershop’s packaging design solution for the gin range features an abstract beach landscape. Their bold, iconic stripes have been retained for brand recognition and some of the stripes have been highlighted with a gloss varnish to harmonise with the liqueur labels. Salute!
