Designing festive packaging often comes with a familiar challenge: how do you make something feel celebratory and new, without losing the essence of what makes the brand recognisable in the first place? This was the central question we explored while creating the festive edition boxes for Eze Perfumes.
Eze, as a brand, is built on a strong and contemporary visual language one that leans into bold geometry, striking colour combinations, and a sense of modern clarity. Its identity is not ornamental in a traditional sense, but expressive through structure, rhythm, and contrast. This gave us a solid foundation to build on, but also set a clear boundary: any festive adaptation had to feel like a natural extension of Eze, not a departure from it.
Rather than introducing external festive tropes or relying on predictable seasonal cues, we approached this as a system-led exploration. The idea was to stretch the existing identity to its limits—asking how its core elements could evolve to express celebration. We worked with geometric forms as building blocks, creating compositions that felt more dynamic, layered, and rhythmic than the base system. Patterns emerged as a key device, allowing us to introduce a sense of abundance and movement while staying rooted in the brand’s visual DNA.
Colour played an equally important role. While retaining the boldness inherent to Eze, we pushed the palette into more vibrant, high-energy territories—tones that evoke festivity without becoming culturally restrictive. The result is a series of boxes that feel lively, expressive, and season-ready, yet unmistakably Eze.
What makes this project particularly exciting is its exploration of brand elasticity. It demonstrates how a well-defined identity system can adapt across contexts—not by adding more, but by evolving what already exists. The festive boxes are not a layer applied on top of the brand, but a continuation of it—amplified, reinterpreted, and celebrated.
This project reflects our larger approach to design at Affogato Brand Design: building identities that are not only distinct, but also flexible enough to grow, adapt, and respond to new moments without losing their core.
