Detroit-based Valentine Distilling asked CF Napa to design a brand custom bottle, logo and package design for their line of Whiskies. The brand name was chosen to honor the enduring spirit of ‘Old Ping’, Hazen S. Pingree, mayor of Detroit (1890-1897), who is considered one of the greatest mayors in US history. The nostalgic feel of the design took its inspiration from this incredible time-period in Detroit and celebrates this champion for the Detroiter who fought monopolies and corruption.
