Studio Boam Creates The New Bacanha’s Bottle Design

Founded in 2013, Bacanha is a label specialised in the creation and manufacture of quality organic syrups. This unique drink is made and manufactured in Paris and its region. The main value of the brand is quality: the selected ingredients are among others pure organic cane sugar, fruit concentrates and natural flavors.

In these times of ecological responsibility, a respectful design for a respectful brand makes perfect sense.

Studio Boam have been chosen again to create the new Bacanha bottle and design. Everything has been rebranded : logo, label, illustrations, material (the plastic into glass) and the bottle shape.This bottle is unique by the design of the label as well as the work on the glass bottle. The label is subdivided into two compartments, like traditional medicinal compositions. There are two levels of reading, a very fine and detailed illustrative part and another which takes the ovoid shape of the label dedicated to informations. Typefaces are ranked using different weights to facilitate the reading of the elements. This interaction of reading levels have an additional importance on this label, which must contain a large amount of information in a small space.

In this total design approach, Studio Boam has designed the brand’s new bottle. This molded glass bottle reflects the major graphic and visual precepts desired by the studio : simple in appearance, carefully designed in detail, controlled in its production and corresponding perfectly to the shelves of gourmet food shops. The base of the bottle, voluntarily oversized, has a double necessity: to give a heavy and statuary base that leads to a feeling of precious object, and thus to avoid the rubbing of the bottles on sensitive and visible zones.
The body of the bottle, marked by long streaks whose center would be the label itself, puts the aesthetic project at the heart of the attention. The rhythm of this 3D graphics does not overload the general line of the bottle. These streaks also allow syrup drops not to settle on the label.

It’s a unique design, deeply linked between graphic design and industrial design.
