Liquid Fertiliser Inspired by Construction Set Blocks Designed by Lavernia & Cienfuegos

The Hype Company was created to offer the grower’s market innovative solutions completely adapted to their needs, whatever type of grower they are. A fertilizer manufacturer and agricultural engineers with expertise in the biotechnological treatment of natural sources. Their research has resulted in unique, high-quality, high yield, and zero residue solutions for crop growers. As an addition to its catalog, its R&D team developed an innovative line of products focused on flower cultivation. A range created to cover the basic needs of the crop from the first week of growth until harvest, ensuring success in terms of production and quality – and of course without affecting taste and flavor. They commissioned us to design a liquid fertilizer container that could be reused as a receptacle once empty.

This product is aimed at a young, modern target audience who care for their own urban garden and are just starting out in agriculture. What they asked us from the brand is that they were looking for the launch of this new product that seeks to project a modern tone, powerful and forceful at a visual level without renouncing to sobriety with style. A container with urban connotations that expresses freedom, is surprising, recognizable and iconic.

The brief specified that the container should be stackable, and also established certain conditions regarding the diameter of the mouth and the closing cap. As the logo of The Hype Company has a very marked and forceful geometric character, we wanted to transfer this concept to the container to be designed. We designed a cubic and minimalist container, which stands out for its robustness, iconicity and easy recognition as it is a primitive geometric shape far removed from the products of the competition. The result is this cube that brings to mind classic construction set blocks, which optimises logistics for both the manufacturer and the users.
