Jordan Boi Concept Packaging Design Solution by Studio Sly

Jordan Boi Concept Packaging Design Solution by Studio Sly

Jordan Boi is a millenial skincare brand that packs a punch. This design execution was the first concept in the brand journey. Its strength lies in the strong monochrome outer packaging with a reveal of a bright mandarin within. Bold use of type gives personality and an edginess that the younger demographic is drawn to.

Typefaces used are Steiner Italic and Telegraph Regular. This combination of bold serif and san serif typefaces create balance within the brand and prominence for important messaging.

A skincare recognition system was developed to help customers visually recognise the products in their order of use. Arrows and a sphere create the universal symbol for “female”. By splitting up these elements we can recognise both face and body products when applied to the packaging. One arrow for the product to use first, two arrows for the second product. A visual device for easy recognition.

The unboxing experience is important to this demographic and the general customer experience. Designing a clear PVC recyclable bags and ribbon was not only on trend but responsible and reusable whilst impactful. Grossgrain ribbon provides an element of luxury and texture while the jars are a matte touch finish for a tactile feel.
